*** REPLACEMENT RESCUE HELICOPTER #2 ***

...a replacement rescue helicopter for Monster Truck Madness 2 (MTM2)

Place this at the top of your POD.INI list to replace the stock 2-rotor rescue helicopter with a new single-rotor flyer, loosely based on the Hughes 500E (it's not made from the familar mtm track model, but rather from a well-detailed OBJ model found on the 'net...textures are custom).

**** IMPORTANT ****

This part is important....SAVE A COPY OF YOUR POD.INI FILE FIRST...if you create an error, you can replace your damaged POD.INI file with the duplicate original pod.ini.......Save the duplicate somewhere where you can find it again easily if needed, like on your desktop. If you don't do this and mess-up your MTM2 game, (it will no longer start) then you will have to re-install the whole game.

STEP#
1. Use NOTEPAD to open your POD.INI file .......use your search or file-finder tool in Windows to locate it if neccessary....Your POD.INI file is in your Monster Truck Madness 2 game folder.

2. Open POD.INI with NOTEPAD or WORDPAD. This part is important....SAVE A COPY FIRST...if you mess-up, you can replace your damaged file with the copy pod.ini.......call it POD.INI.CPY or anything else you wish, and save it somewhere you can find it again if needed.

3. locate the number at the top of the list, retype the number to increase it by one, then create a new line below it and type HELI2.POD. Make sure STARTUP.POD is listed below the new helicopter pod listing, or it won't work.

4. Save the POD.INI file...now when you crash and the helicopter comes to rescue you, it will be a new machine (the Pterodactyl "rescue-dinosaur" is unchanged).

--------------------------------------------
NOTES:

Every time you add a POD to your POD.INI file list, increase the number at the top of the list by 1...if you remove a (track or truck) POD, then decrease it by 1.

DO NOT REMOVE any of the original stock PODs (the first 19 pods, ending with SUMMIT3.POD).

Here's an example of what the top portion of your POD.INI list should look like when you are finished adding the new helicopter. The number at the top of the list should equal the number of PODs in your list, and will likely be different from the number listed here:

--------------------------
21
HELI2.POD
STARTUP.POD
music.pod
sound.pod
truck2.pod
cockpit.pod
ui.pod
tpark.pod
alaska.pod
junk.pod
crazy98.pod

*(lower portion deleted)*
---------------------------

(Normally, new trucks and tracks are added to the BOTTOM of the pod.ini file...this special helicopter pod is an exception, as it is neither a track nor truck add-on, but rather a replacement for an existing game model).
